The Confluence, a boutique lifestyle publicity, media, and marketing firm, is seeking a hungry, self-motivated and passionate Publicity Associate to learn the core elements of our operation and to be groomed for growth within the world of digital public relations.

We are looking for individuals who can shift seamlessly between service areas as diverse as Music Festivals, Technology, Medical Devices, Healthy Lifestyles, Sustainability, Film, Sports and more. You must have deep interest and/or experience in at least a few of the aforementioned areas.

The Confluence works with such clientele as Anastasia of Beverly Hills, General Electric, Budweiser, Beats Antique, The Lucent Dossier Experience, and music festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle, the Coachella Do LaB stage, Envision Festival Costa Rica, Further Future, Wonderfruit and many more.

We have a tight team and we are in need of another ninja to join us. Effective communication is second nature to you and you must be as comfortable logging highly effective hours inside spreadsheets and managing logistics for press events as you are at writing and delivering official correspondence to high profile clientele.

Must haves:

  • Extensive knowledge of the internet, social media, and the blogosphere
  • Meticulously organized; Clutter and misinformation is your enemy
  • Lightning quick computer skills; MS Office, Google Apps (Docs, Drive, Spreadsheets are a must); Familiarity with OS X/Macs a plus
  • Profound work ethic and thick skin;
  • An engaged listener with the ability to anticipate and offer creative suggestions when appropriate
  • Strong writing skills
  • Deeply self motivated with the ability to log long days in-office and, on occasion, remotely
  • Ability to both be trained and to train others

Junior Designer

A boutique lifestyle Publicity and Content Creation firm seeks hungry, self-motivated and passionate Junior Designer to join our team as a creative juggernaut. The position offers the opportunity to put his/her creative talents to work in  many channels and will benefit from the guidance of top-tier marketers, building a portfolio of polished work. Projects include music festivals around the world and top level brands.

Ideal candidates would be charged with finding ways for us to visually represent both our client’s and our own identity online. You have a keen aesthetic, creatively innovative, and are an avid problem solver who has the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You are an energizing person, not only with your work, but with your work ethic and creative style. You feel comfortable working with other team members to manage multiple projects from concept to completion and to provide quality control when needed.

Communication must come easy and you must have deep interests in at least a few of the following areas that we service: Music, Film, Fashion, Film, Technology, Music Festivals, Cosmetics, Design and Publishing (Magazines), Sports, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Must haves:

  • Have a degree in Fine Arts or related field
  • Ability to understand and internalize visual brands and translate that into creative that can communicate brand positioning and messaging
  • Experience working with logos, branding, websites, layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and limitations of the web
  • Graphic/web design experience with knowledge of the Adobe Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop – more is a plus
  • Basic knowledge about typography & grid systems
  • Good knowledge of the internet, blogosphere, and social media
  • Lightning quick computer skills (Keynote, MS Office, Google Docs, Macs a plus)
  • Profound work ethic, thick skin, and the ability to anticipate and offer creative suggestions when appropriate
  • A superior grasp of the English language (both written and spoken)

Editor/Filmmaker

The Confluence, a boutique lifestyle publicity, media, and marketing firm, is seeking a full time editor/
filmmaker/cinematographer (1099 contractor).

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years experience on FCP X/Adobe Premier and will have comprehensive
filmmaking experience including, pre-production, videography, editing, sound and after effects. Extra credit
for animation and vfx experience, and those who have their own gear.

Have some deep interests in at least a few of the following areas that we service: Music, Film, Fashion,
Technology, Music Festivals, Sports, and Healthy Lifestyles.

Looking for edgy editing talent, a good attitude, the desire to grow a strong career, and have strong work ethic.
Must thrive in fast paced/music festival environments but have the thoroughness to spend weeks editing on
end. Global travel is a part of this gig – Thailand, Hong Kong, Europe, Canada, and more.

systems and grow to be an indispensable part of our team.

Communication must come easy and you must have deep interests in at least a few of the following areas
that we service: Music, Film, Fashion, Technology, Music Festivals, Cosmetics, Design and Publishing
(Magazines), Sports, and Healthy Lifestyles.

The Confluence works with such clientele as Anastasia of Beverly Hills, General Electric, Budweiser, Beats
Antique, The Lucent Dossier Experience, and music festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle, Shambhala Music
Festival, the Coachella Do LaB stage, Envision Festival Costa Rica, Symbiosis, and many more.

We have a tight team and we are in need of another ninja to join us for a minimum of 20 hours each week.
Candidates must be as comfortable logging highly effective hours doing online research and spending time
inside spreadsheets as they are delivering official correspondence to high profile clientele.

Must haves:

  • Candidates need to be currently enrolled in college
  • Strong interest in public relations and the entertainment industry
  • Strong communication, organization, research, time management, problem solving, multi tasking, and
    administrative writing skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly. Must be very ‘teachable’ and absorb new knowledge
