We created an original documentary series called Shocase PRESENTS. The series explores the world of Marketing and Creativity for a new social network called Shocase. The Confluence wrote, produced, shot, directed, animated, and edited this series. Our original content was featured in Adweek and praised for the quality of production and it’s thought-provoking perspectives. The series positioned Shocase as an authority in the marketing world – a platform for creativity, staying connected, and building business opportunities through professional interactions.

A serial entrepreneur, Russell started THE CONFLUENCE years ago before “digital” and “publicity” were a unified concept. Bringing the two together, Russell has led countless successful campaigns across a wide spectrum of industries and mediums. Russell builds valuable relationships with press, artists, brands, and tastemakers. With THE CONFLUENCE Russell has developed a set of proprietary techniques and innovations for executing and measuring digital publicity. Russell has been the publicist and/or filmmaker for Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Shambhala, Envision, Decibel, The Great Convergence, Symbiosis and engaged national campaigns at EDC and SXSW. Currently, Russell leads campaign strategy, business development, and production. Russell has also led a course on tastemaker marketing, at the General Assembly in Santa Monica, CA and been profiled LA Weekly, Millennial Magazine and NBC LA as a pioneer of digital content strategy. Russell graduated from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in Marketing and an emphasis in entrepreneurship.

Melissa produces video content, strategizes and manages digital publicity, content marketing and social media campaigns for music festivals, entertainment and lifestyle brands. She oversees all campaigns ensuring deadlines are met and campaigns on track. Prior to The Confluence, she lived in the Bay Area and was a public relations consultant for government agencies while simultaneously owning and running an entertainment agency producing circus theater and music videos, while providing cutting-edge entertainment for festivals, corporate events and private
parties. Melissa studied Mass Communications at Berkeley.

As Creative Director of THE CONFLUENCE, Eric leads strategy, content creation, and aesthetics. Eric’s creative and strategic talent helped build the Apple brand from a little computer company to the global cultural icon it is today. Eric is credited with award winning work including the iPod Silhouettes campaign, the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” campaign, and the iPhone/iPad campaigns you see today. Eric’s work has received several honors including: Campaign of the Decade (“I’m a Mac I’m a PC”), “Outdoor Campaign of the Decade” (iPod Silhouettes), and “Agency of the Decade.” Eric has been featured as a leader, guest speaker and panelist at FIRE (Future in Review). Eric has a B.S.in Psychology from Furman University and a Masters in Communications.
